Teen Life Skills Center
TLC is a strict boarding school that focuses on teaching teens the importance of family, respect for self and others, healthy living, and the value of hard work. Throughout the course of our one year program, teens are given the opportunity to serve in the community, catch up on, or graduate from school, and actively repair and build their relationship with their parents and family members.

Academics at TLC
We work with Penn Foster Career School, the largest accredited school of independent study. Through this program, students are not only able to achieve their high school diploma, but if they wish, Penn Foster is also accredited for college courses as well. Working with this program enables students to work at their own pace whether that means finishing high school during our program, transferring back to their high school, or completing their high school diploma with Penn Foster at home.
Schoolwork begins during the first phase of the program in the form of a skills review. Students are taken through a basic skills review to assess their learning abilities and determine the best possible learning situation for that student. Later on, students begin their individual coursework at their own pace with trained tutors and professional teachers. The students at TLC are able to focus on their course work without distraction, while getting the individual attention they need which is not present in public schools.
TLC Gives Teens a Brighter Future
TLC focuses on choice and accountability. Each cadet is responsible for their words, choices, health, education, and family. Positive attitudes and behaviors are rewarded. Poor attitudes and behaviors are immediately confronted and redirected. With constant supervision from our trained staff, each cadet is held responsible for their actions every minute of every day.
Essential to the success of each cadet at TLC, is the cooperation of their parents and family as a team. Communication is key to each families success during this educational experience. Together, we address important issues, help create understanding and forgiveness, set goals, and clear clouded vision.
